No matter what team you root for, however, it's always fun to do some very premature speculating on who your team will be selecting with their first round pick next April. The 2019 draft class is stocked to the brim with talented defensive lineman and offensive lineman. It's not a quarterback rich draft class unlike last years which featured Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Josh Rosen all being selected within the top-10.Surely there will be a few quarterbacks that rapidly rise of draft boards due to exceptional performances at the scouting combine or their university's pro-day. But for the most part this coming draft will be dominated by future defensive stars. For purposes of this mid-season mock draft, the draft order is determined by each team's record at the mid-season point (approximately week 8). This mock draft also does not account for potential trades, although trades are all but certain to happen. This mock-draft does take the time to specifically evaluate each teams strengths and weaknesses in order to determine which player they should select. So who is your team picking in 2019? Maybe they will pick up their next franchise changing wide-receiver or the future captain of their defense? It's the midpoint of the season so let the speculating begin.
