Harwell and Zach Atkinson (70) combined to post 5-under 139 for Texas, which completed two rounds at 5-under-par 283. Harwell played the back nine first in round two. He birdied the 12th and parred the other eight holes on his opening nine on the Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort. Atkinson got that shot right back with a birdie on the third. After five pars in a row, he birdied the ninth to close out his round. Illinois shot 141 to move into a tie for second.
