TSN announced on Wednesday that Olympic gold medallist and world champion Tessa Bonhomme has joined Canadas Sports Leader on a full-time basis after officially retiring from Canadas national womens team. In her new full-time role at TSN, Bonhomme will appear as a host and reporter for SPORTSCENTRE as well as a contributor to TSNs coverage of Hockey Canada events. "I never thought Id find something I love as much as hockey, but as luck would have it, I have!" said Bonhomme. "Im excited to join the amazing team at TSN full time, and look forward to growing as a broadcaster." Bonhomme appeared on TSN earlier this year as a panellist for hockey broadcasts during the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and then as a host on the networks French Open coverage and occasional SPORTSCENTRE anchor. "Tessa has an intimate, insider perspective on the Canadian sports world and has already proved herself to be an engaging broadcaster with a strong on-air presence," said Mark Milliere, Senior Vice-President of Production, TSN. "She brings the same dedication and work ethic to the broadcast studio as she did to the hockey rink, and we are thrilled to add her to our talent roster." A defenceman for Canadas national womens team beginning in 2004, Bonhomme helped Canada win a third straight gold medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. She also won gold at the IIHF World Womens Championship in both 2007 and 2012 and silver in 2009, 2011, and 2013.
