TIANJIN, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- As the eldest swimmer among all the finalists, Olympic and world champion Sun Yang swam his own race and claimed the title in the men's 400m freestyle for the third time in a row at the 13th Chinese National Games here on Thursday.


It was also the 100th gold medal of his swimming career.


Sun met no challenges en route to the championship and stormed home in 3 minutes and 41.94 seconds.


It was the second fastest time of the season, and would have been enough to win the gold medal at the FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary last month Chaussures Puma Ignite Limitless Homme Noir , when Sun was crowned with a season best time of 3:41.38.


Ji Xinjie of Shandong finished second in 3:47.52 and Qiu Ziao of Shanghai came in third with a time of 3:49.52.

"As the eldest one in the final competing with those who are 7 or 8 years younger, I was not lonely in the competition. I always want to swim as fast as I can. I was concentrated on my own race and techniques," he added.


"I was satisfied with my result today. Because I got cold since I arrived here four days ago and was named the flag bearer for my hometown Zhejiang at the opening ceremony. It was a great pleasure for me as I seldom showed up at the opening ceremony of big events," remarked the 26-year-old.


Sun will compete in the 200m Chaussures Puma Ignite Limitless Femme Kaki , 800m, 1,500m and 3 relays at the National Games after the 400m victory.


Also on Thursday evening, Wang Shun from Zhejiang dominated the men's 400m individual medley in 4:12.59 and Zhou Min from Shanghai claimed the title of the women's 400m IM with a time of 4:40.75.

A luxury fashion label is collaborating with Miao craftswomen to create clothing that is uniquely Chinese puma fenty creepers noir , but looks right at home on the catwalks of Europe. Sun Yuanqing reports.


Xia Hua and her fashion company, Eve Group, are best known for dressing successful Chinese entrepreneurs such as Jack Ma and Liu Chuanzhi. But her ambition goes further than that.


Her company recently debut its first womanswear collection, mainly in black, white and red, in Beijing.


Fabrics sourced from Europe are adorned with Miao ethnic embroidery. The silhouettes are modern puma fenty creepers blanche , loosely hugging the body like traditional Chinese wear. Models strutted down the catwalk while the Miao women sang live backstage.


At a time when Chinese fashion brands are striving for a niche in the international luxury houses, Xia decided to go back to her roots.


"I want to make clothes for China's elite women who want to travel the world with clothes that speak about their cultural identity," she says. "Everyone is talking about economic slowdown and business models. But we decided to listen to our heart."


She was speaking on the Her Village International Forum in Beijing in April, a two-day


event that focuses on women's social roles and their power to change the world. More than 400 international women leaders from politics, business, culture and media participated.


A pioneer in China's luxury menswear market puma fenty bow slide pas cher , Xia has received numerous requests from her girlfriends to make clothes.


Six years ago, Xia made a trip to the mountains in Southwest China's Guizhou province and found the Miao craftswomen, who amazed her with their beautiful embroidery.


"They don't speak Mandarin, they can't even write their own names, but their creativity shocked me. Many of these craftswomen had to abandon their skills as their hometowns are overtaken by tourism. Xia purchased their work at high prices and built a museum in the area to exhibit their art.
